Customize and complete the look of your roller shades with your choice of a top treatment that conceals the fabric roll, hardware components, and control of light leakage all while offering a clean look. We will look at the 2 aluminum options of style (fascias and cassettes), they each have their own functionalities.
Let's start with fascias.
Fascias are constructed of an L shaped extruded aluminum. The fascia panel conceals the front and top of the roller shade and the mounting hardware. This design protects the fabric from long term dust and dirt collection. The fascia system is designed for fast, easy and secure installation. Available in 3˝ and 4˝ profiles. The 3” fascia system is available in flat and round versions. The 4” fascia system is available in the flat version only. Size of fascia depends on the finished size of the roller shade. Fascias snap into mounting brackets for efficient installation.
They come in 5 colors: White, Black, Bronze, Anodized Satin, Ivory, and Silvery Grey. Fascias come with color coordinated end caps.
The next style is the cassette.
Cassette systems are the best option for hotels for light control since these also have a back "cover" (fascias only have a front and top cover). Cassettes are also available in 3'' and 4'' (also depending on the size of the shade) this style is offered in both flat and round versions. The roller shade is pre-mounted in the fascia making it an easy one step installation. A matching fabric insert is included to create a finished look.
They are also available in five colors: White, Black, Bronze, Anodized Satin, Ivory, and Silvery Grey. Cassettes come with color coordinated end caps.
Here is an example of a 3'' flat cassette (has a back cover) vs a 3" flat fascia (just top and front cover):
Now, let's look at the round versions. Here is a comparison of a round cassette (has back cover and fabric insert to match roller shade fabric) vs a round fascia (only front and top cover and no fabric insert option):
